Sensory Friendly Zone at Grande Day Parade

||Sensory Friendly Zone at Grande Day Parade

Attention all parade spectators! A sensory friendly zone has been created for the grande day parade between 16th and 17th Avenue on Mainstreet. Events that are widely viewed as fun for the whole family can be overwhelming and intolerable for children or adults who are sensitive to noise and vibrations.

Creating this sensory friendly zone is our best effort to create an environment for all! Volunteers will be on hand a half block prior to hand out earplugs and water to participants in the sensory zone. Parade units will refrain from revving engines, using sirens, air horns, car horns and strobe lights in the zone.

A special thanks to the Hopkins Police for working with the festival to create this sensory friendly zone!
