Saturday, July 9

  • 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    USTA Tennis Tournament
    Central Park
    Boys and girls 16, 14, 12, and 10 & under compete in a Level 7 USTA tournament sanctioned by Northern USTA. The matches are held at Hopkins Central Park and Minnetonka’s Williston Fitness Center.
  • 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    Bowling with the Royal Family
    Tuttle’s Eat Bowl Play
    Strike up fun for the whole family at Tuttle’s Eat Bowl Play. Come meet and get to know our Raspberry Royal Family, Royalty Candidates and Junior Royalty Candidates for an afternoon of food and fun.
  • 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
    Meat Raffle and Pull Tabs
    Hopkins American Legion
    Join our veterans at Hopkins Post 320 of the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization for their meat raffle and pull tabs. Proceeds from the games go towards the programs sponsored by the American Legion to support our nation’s veterans.

Sunday, July 10

  • 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

    Join us as we celebrate “Seniors” with games, prizes, food, entertainment, coronation and fun! Enjoy a light lunch provided by Culvers of Golden Valley, and special musical entertainment & dancing to Jazzy Tunes with Patty Chodosh & Jeff Goldstein.

    Senior Royalty Coronation & Dinner
    Hopkins Activity Center
    Help our reigning Raspberry Royal Family and Royalty Candidates bid farewell to our reigning Senior Royalty and welcome our new Senior Royalty Honorees. Dinner is provided by the Hopkins American Legion.

Monday, July 11

    Hunt for the Golden Raspberry
    Clues Debut
    Each year, a medallion about the size of your palm is hidden somewhere in Hopkins during the festival. The person who finds it first earns a $500 cash prize. Clues to finding the medallion will begin appearing Monday, July 13, 2015. The clues will be posted at Driskill’s Foods and on www.raspberrycapital.com at 8:00 am each day.

    Kiddie Parade
    Mainstreet
    Cheer on kids from in and around Hopkins showing off their creativity and Raspberry Festival spirit! The parade route starts in Central Park and heads north on 13th Ave S, turns east on Main Street, and turns south on 9th Ave S and into Downtown Park.

Tuesday, July 12

    Junior Royalty Coronation
    & Dance
    Eisenhower Community Center
    Since the 1960’s, students from all over the Hopkins School District have participated in the Junior Royalty candidate program, culminating with the Junior Royalty Coronation & Dance. Cheer on our candidates, bid farewell to our reigning Junior Royalty and welcome our new Junior Royalty to the Royal Family.

Wednesday, July 13

    Shady Oak Lake
    A Hopkins Police Officer with a big heart describes Laun Anderson. In his honor, Shady Oak Lake is full of children each year to grab complimentary poles then hit the dock or banks to try and grab as many fish as possible. Event is sponsored by the Hopkins VFW Post 425 and MOC Pup Tent 15.

    Join our veterans at Hopkins Post 320 of the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization for a steak fry, meat raffle, pull tabs and bar bingo. Proceeds from the games go towards the programs sponsored by the American Legion to support our nation’s veterans.

Thursday, July 14

    This special community event brings residents and visitors from throughout the metro area to enjoy music in our beautiful Downtown Park. Music in the Park concerts are free, compliments of area businesses and organizations. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket—refreshments always available.

    The Wild Boar hosts the Hopkins Raspberry Association pull tabs and meat raffle, as well as sponsors the annual fireworks show on the evening of Family Day. Come support this Hopkins business that has been a steadfast supporter of the Raspberry Festival since opening its doors in 2011.

    Raspberry Royalty Coronation
    & Royal Ball
    Hopkins Center for the Arts
    The tradition of Hopkins Raspberry Festival Royalty dates back to the very beginning of the Hopkins Raspberry Festival. Come join our reigning Royalty give their farewell, and congratulate the newly crown Raspberry Royalty continue a Hopkins tradition more than eight decades in the making. Stay for the Royal Ball and celebrate with dozens of visiting Royalty from communities all around Minnesota.

Friday, July 15

    The Hopkins Elks Lodge 2221 is a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks – the largest Fraternal-Charitable Organization in the United States dedicated to service to our communities and to our country. This event is open to the public, so come play some bingo, play pull tabs and support the youth programs the Elks provides.

    Live Music – The Del Counts
    Hopkins American Legion
    Join our veterans at Hopkins Post 320 of the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization for some live entertainment courtesy of the Del Counts. Proceeds from the games go towards the programs sponsored by the American Legion to support our nation’s veterans.

    Jaycees Street Dance

    Featuring: Gypsy Road
    9th Avenue South and Mainstreet
    The Hopkins Area Jaycees mission is to provide the opportunity for young individuals to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change. Live music courtesy of Gypsy Road, beer, and food trucks are provided for those over 21.

Saturday, July 16
Family Day

    Marketplace Arts and Craft Fair

    7th and 12th Avenue
    Hundreds of vendors line Mainstreet offering a wide range of merchandise for one and all. Come spend time in Hopkins shopping through these vendors and our Downtown Hopkins businesses. Food trucks and mobile food vendors will be available as well as music entertainment in Downtown Park and Central Park.

    Memorial Blood Centers Blood Drive
    12th Avenue S and Mainstreet
    Help keep families together and healthy by making a donation. A Minnesota-based, independent nonprofit, they supply life-saving blood, state-of-the-art laboratory services and biomedical expertise around the country and the world. Donate a pint of blood and receive a free pint of Raspberries!

    Softball Tournament
    Central Park
    Hopkins/Minnetonka Park and rec presents the annual one day men’s softball tournament. Games are played at Minnetonka Big Willow Park and Hopkins Central Park. Teams are class C and class D, and games are subject to USSSA and MRPA rules.

    Come see Rugby like it will be played in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Hopkins Girls and Boys teams will be playing against other local Rugby teams.

    The Hopkins Westwind Concert Band invites you to come to Hopkins to enjoy the many Family Day activities on Mainstreet and to stop in at Downtown Park where you can relax in the shade and enjoy the band music.

    Hilltop Park
    Come watch Hopkins area kids ages 6 – 16 compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies to be the fastest racers in Hopkins.

    Hopkins Cruisers Big Wheels for Hot Meals
    7th Avenue and Mainstreet
    Kids ages 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 race for a chance to bring home their very own Big Wheel racer. Not only is the event a great way to get kids excited about racing and the Hopkins Cruisers, it is also a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels. In addition, food donations are accepted for ICA Food Shelf.

    Classic cars from all decades are in attendance to bring back memories of Hopkins’ days past when Mainstreet was once filled with dealerships, repair shops and filling stations. It truly was ‘the’ car town of the area.

    4-H kids develop new skills and ways to express themselves through fun, hands-on activities. Working on projects that interest them helps connect kids with their friends, families, communities and the world. Come see projects from youth around the county showcased in Hopkins Central Park.

    Conceived with families in mind, art activities, demonstrations, inflatable rides, food trucks and musical entertainment are brought together to offer all members of the family an afternoon of entertainment.

    Hopkins Cruisers 3rd Annual Reunion Cruise
    Mainstreet
    Memories of the glory days of cruising Hopkins Mainstreet in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s are brought back each Raspberry Festival with a reunion cruise after the Arts and Crafts fair clears out. Come watch the cruisers roll by – or better yet, come cruise with them and be a part of this storied tradition.

    Pro Wrestling Benefit Event
    Hopkins Pavilion
    Steel Domain Wrestling (SDW) is the second longest running professional wrestling promotion in Minnesota as the legendary AWA holds the title as the longest ever. This event is a fundraiser for Hopkins Youth Hockey, and all proceeds go to supporting that program.

    The Band Hitchville headlines the musical entertainment in Central Park. Leading into the fireworks show at 10:00pm, the combination of face-melting vocals and “don’t try this at home” instrumental solos leads to an unforgettable live show in which the band has worked tirelessly to produce.

    At 10:00 pm, the Mainstage band yields to the fireworks show synchronized to music. Central Park fills with people each year for the show, so come early to stake your spot, enjoy the entertainment and sample the food choices at this culminating event for Family Day of the Hopkins Raspberry Festival.

Parade Day

    Back again this year is the Pancake Breakfast on Sunday Morning before the parade. And what better way to kick-off the day than with pancakes! Join us for a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the Hopkins Knights of Columbus.

    5-Mile and 1-Mile Raspberry Run

    Join us for our 48th year! The Hopkins Raspberry Run is one of Minnesota’s great running traditions. Participation for youth 18 & under is free as part of the Twin Cities Track Club ‘Kids Run Free’ initiative. So bring the whole family for the race and stay for the Hopkins Raspberry Festival Parade.

    The tradition of the Hopkins Raspberry Festival culminates with the Grande Day Parade on Mainstreet. The parade features marching bands, visiting royalty from around the state, local businesses and clubs, and local officials. Come cheer on your friends and neighbors and help celebrate this most special annual event in Hopkins.

    Pulled Pork Sandwich Lunch

    The VFW mission is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans. Hopkins VFW Post 425 hosts a pulled pork sandwich lunch following the Raspberry Festival Grande Day Parade.
